Our German language slogan IHRE IDEEN GESTALTEN WIR ZU RECHT (We rightfully shape your ideas into rights) is a brand commitment to you, our highly esteemed customers.
We are committed to serving your interests, whether it be in the preparation and filing of an application for an industrial property right, or in advising you on any of the other fields of law that we offer. We want you to be convinced that you have found the right partner to handle your concerns and that you have chosen us “rightly” to shape your ideas into rights. Our German-language slogan logo is protected by German trademark 30 455 428. (Slogan development: © Dr. Wolfram Schlimme, graphic design: © Armin Copp, B.C.A! Augsburg).

Of course, our brand commitment also applies to non-German-speaking clients. However, since a literal translation of our dual-meaning German slogan into English makes little sense, we internationally use our statement slogan CREATIVITY DESERVES PROTECTION. This expresses our philosophy that creativity must be rewarded through intellectual property rights. Our English slogan logo is protected by German trademark 30 455 429. Our brand name WSPATENT – in the form of the word mark and the word/figurative mark, both protected by trademark law – forms the core brand of our law firm. This core brand is supported by the logo of the disc with the belly section of a legal paragraph sign "§", which symbolizes the worldwide activities of our law firm in the field of the protection of industrial property rights. As a visual identification mark, this logo forms an umbrella brand, which, due to its purely graphical design without any word element, is particularly suitable for the international presence of our law firm.
Our service mark WSPATENT® is protected by German word mark 39 975 235 independently of its graphic design.

We introduced the typical WSPatent® logo in 2000 as part of the first corporate identity development to be professionally carried out for the firm. The letters W and S are the initials of the firm's founder, but can also be understood as “worldwide service”. The square dot at the bottom right visually supports the end of the word PATENT, the beginning of which is accommodated in the upper gap of the letter S. The color scheme used then was mint green with gray. For reasons of the required right-preserving use under trademark law, this old WSPatent® logo will continue to be used to a small but relevant extent beyond the year 2024.
The WSPatent® logo with the square dot is protected in Germany by the trademark 30 018 707, in the European Union by the EU trademark 001 833 607 and in the United Kingdom by the UK trademark 901 833 607. (graphic design: © Peter von Oppen)

In 2022, on the occasion of the first relaunch of our firm's corporate identity, we also slightly modified the WSPatent® logo and gave it a new color scheme in the form that is currently used most often. The original mint green was replaced by a more internationally neutral cornflower blue and the blue ball-§ logo was placed in place of the square dot in the bottom right corner. As a result, the blue ball-§ logo, which independently constitutes an indication of origin for our law firm, was integrated into the WSPatent® logo and linked even more closely to the law firm's word mark. During a transitional period until the end of 2024, the old, mint green and the new, blue WSPatent® logos were used in parallel.
The revised WSPatent® logo is protected by German trademark law as a German word/figurative mark 30 [0000] 2022 [000] 115 [000] 967. (graphic redesign: © Milk & Honey, Munich)

Our logo, the blue ball-shaped area with the white belly of the paragraph sign, reflects our global activity in the field of industrial property protection. We have been using this ball-§ logo in a stylized flat design with a blue disc since 2019, and since 2024, it has also been used in a three-dimensional blue and gold spherical ball design in some particular cases.
Our ball-§ logo is protected by German trademark 30 080 244 and by European Union trademark 017 932 904 in the European Union, as well as by UK trademark 917 932 904 in the United Kingdom. (graphic design: © Armin Copp, B.C.A! Augsburg)

Our sub-brand innovatEUR characterizes our general and legal consulting services with regard to the use of IP rights and the strategic development of IP portfolios, in particular in Europe but also worldwide. The focus is on patent and trademark strategies. This service is directed to start-up companies and already established companies that want to build up and organize their portfolio of intellectual property rights systematically and strategically. The innovatEUR® logo is protected by German trademark law as a German word/figurative mark 30 623 472. (Trademark development and graphic design: © Dr. Wolfram Schlimme)

Our sub-brand brandeur® characterizes our marketing-oriented and trademark-related consulting services in brand development and branding. These services are directed primarily at branding and advertising agencies and the relevant corporate departments. The word BRANDEUR® is protected as a German word mark 30 2011 004 040 and as a European Union trademark 018 492 189. The brandeur® logo is protected by German law as a German word/figurative mark 30 2011 018 403 and as a European Union trademark 010 089 936. Our orange-red glowing R in a circle is used by us since 2011 as an origin-indicating sign in the course of our marketing-oriented and trademark-related consulting services in brand development and branding. It is also part of the used form of our protected figurative trademark brandeur®. The sign is based on the commonly used R in a circle ® but creatively and distinctively modifies it through its color scheme and the blurred contours that seem to shimmer in the heat. This glowing ® symbolizes the origin of the English term “brand” in horse farming, which is derived from the meaning of a branding iron. A trademark also “brands” a product or service, thereby giving it a clear indication of origin. (Logo idea: © Dr. Wolfram Schlimme, graphic design: © Armin Copp, B.C.A! Augsburg)

Another trademark that will become increasingly important in the future is our word mark GLOBALEGIS®, which we have been using for more than 25 years for consultancy services, particularly in the field of legal services in cross-border collaboration with cooperating attorneys-at-law and patent attorneys, usually as a word mark or in the form of the shown figurative mark. The name GLOBALEGIS® is a synonym for our global legal services. The word GLOBALEGIS is protected as a European Union trade mark 001 012 756 and enjoys seniority dating back to June 1998 in some EU states. The mark is also protected in the United Kingdom under UK 00 901 012 756). (brand development: © Dr. Wolfram Schlimme, graphic design of the figurative sign: © Armin Copp, B.C.A! Augsburg)
