International design (Hague Agreement)

By filing an application for international registration of a design under the Hague Agreement (HA) or the Geneva Act (GA), the design can be registered in a centralised registration procedure simultaneously for a large number of states designated in the application.
Design protection for the entire European Union can be obtained through the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) under the Geneva Act on HA.
Advantage of an international design registration:
The registration is only submitted in one language and the high costs associated with national registrations are avoided.
